So... Many of you may be wondering "Wait what? I thought Vivien was supposed to go back this week??🤔🤔🤔". Well, I was. But my parents decided at the LAST second I shouldn't... So, how did we do this In-Person-Turned-Virtual-School-Week?? Monday we shared our first backpack items. I had a journal, book, and airpods for mine..(Will explain more in assignment para) Tuesday there was no school on election day.. I don't really like mixing my political with social so... Wednesday there was nothing much. Also I know this is kinda a side note, but after everyone telling me I should do it, I've decided to get my nose peirced😬😬😰. Ahhh im scarrreeed.. Anyhoo, Thursday we did some more presenting on backpack stuff and surprisingly it was kinda.... fun. Friday, I finally went to the Book Club meeting and did things like decide the name and meeting time and books we could read. Yea thas the week😁.
A highlight this week is ReAdInG ofc! Another highlight is gonna be doing the backpack activity bc it was pretty fun:). Another is doing the book club meeting. A lowlight this week is nothing:) SO overall good week!
The lesson learned this week is to be creative. I learned this from our activity bc if you read below, you had to think outside of the box. It might make you different, but the more creative the more fun ! :)))
So the assignment was Backpack sharing. Basically what we do is pick out items that are something a good leader would need to be successful. So the first round on Monday, our items were pretty basic. I had a journal, airpods, and a book. And my reasons for them were pretttttyyyy basic. Then after everyone had shared, Mr. Ing said to "Think outside of the box" for your next items. So for the next three rounds I had: a pencil, an eraser, a flashlight, and a keychain. Pretty simple items right? Until I said my reasons. I had a pencil-to help a leader find and discover more about themselves because to lead they need to know THEIR identity first. An eraser-because along the way there will be mistakes.. what matters is what they do with them which means they have to take responsibility for and make up for them. You get the idea. So for me, the biggest observation I had was that the first round from Monday, everyone had basic things like a waterbottle or a journal and with those objects, basic reasons. But on the next rounds, even though the objects were basic, the reasons were not. That is what stood out to me, and also how everyones reasons were more creative the second day.
